Between Goodbyes and the Next Hello
As the train hurriedly carries me back to work, I find myself reflecting on how differently time flows in different moments of life.
The last 60 hours with my family have passed in the blink of an eye, yet they have been some of the most fulfilling and soul-satisfying moments.
Tonight, as we part ways with heavy hearts, already counting the days until our next reunion, I find myself immersed in Elif Shafak’s The Forty Rules of Love. And somehow, her words resonate deeply with me: “Time is needed for the crescent moon to become full.”
Perhaps that is the beauty of time- it rushes when we are happiest, stretches when we are apart, and quietly reminds us that some of the most beautiful things in life are worth waiting for. ❤️
